Breast Reduction Surgery
Friday, December 17th, 2010This 18 year old patient from El Cajon, California had been interested in breast surgery for many years after suffering from chronic neck, back and shoulder pain. During her consultation with Dr. Pousti it was explained to her that she was a good candidate forĀ Breast reduction surgery which can help relieve this pain and give the patient breast symmetry.

To achieve the best results measurements and markings are made prior to surgery. During the breast reduction procedure Dr. Pousti moves the nipple/areola complex to a more pleasing location on the chest wall and re-arranges the breast tissue to create more of a smaller and perkier look.

Once markings are completed the patient is put under general anesthesia by Dr. Pousti’s anesthesiologist who is also board certified. The patient is re-examined at this time to make sure no adjustments are needed.

Below the right breast is completed, as you can see the nipple/areola complex is in a more pleasant position and the breast has a firmer and perkier look.

This patient’s right breast was larger than the left preoperatively and 789g of breast tissue was removed.

628g of breast tissue was removed on the patient’s left breast.

Good symmetry was achieved and the patient is extremely happy with her initial results.
