After reaching her goal weight and losing 137lbs, the patient was very unhappy with her loose “saggy” skin. In order to improve her body contours, she decided to undergo a tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty), breast augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy) as well to achieve fullness in her breasts.

Due to the complexity and severity of her individual case, she wanted to find a board certified plastic surgeon. She was referred to Dr. Pousti by a freind and previous patient of the Dr.

During her consultation, Dr. Pousti presented her with her best and safest options. They agreed that she would benefit from an exended tummy tuck with a back lipectomy to remove as much excess skin possible to also avoid the ‘muffin top” look.

During the arm lift procedure, “Z-plasty” is used on the left axilla (armpit).

“Z-plasty”, is especially useful when performing surgery on the distal extremities and large wounds which, are under extreme tension after closure. Using the Z-plasty technique avoids complications such as scarring and contracture.
